Dub City – The Warriors Dance next hometown session for Inner Standing Sound!!! Saturday February 24th presented by Yes I Apparel at ROOTS Lounge featuring special guest Akashic Records from Atlanta Georgia!!!  Akashic Records  is a longtime behind the scenes activist in the USA Roots and Culture Sound System movement and in the past few years he has been producing and releasing a deluge of serious music on vinyl and cd.  We are honored to feature him and amplify his sounds. The line up is full up starting at 7 pm with vintage vinyl selections from Selecta Kojak and Dub Stefano. Next DJ Silverback will be dropping some gems from his extensive collection. Always excited to see what he will pull out of the box especially in the context of the full sound!!! Opening up the dub portion of the night is Santa Cruz based soundman and selector Timothy Hallo of Summit Levels Sound System. He is one of the few UK Style dubplate and vinyl collectors in the bay area and the selection is always deep. Dont forget Luv Fyah and Ras Amlak will be chanting throughout the night so vibes will be high and word sound will be flowing!!! There will be ethiopian food available all night from Habesha Spice and Ital drinks on tap… Same way the cultural marketplace will be bubbling with nuff lovely goods for the people!!! Rally up and spread the word!!!
